Old Trail Amenities
One of the marks of a desirable residential community is its proximity to shops and services. In most new developments, this proximity is measured in terms of vehicle trips - not by the time it would take to walk or bike to your favorite coffee shop. Old Trail takes its inspiration from historic towns by celebrating the morning stroll to the news stand and the evening bike ride to get an ice cream with the kids.

Community Pool

Located close to the Old Trail Village center, the pool is centrally located within Old Trail. The main pool features a deep end with diving board, 8-lanes for swimming, and a zero entry area. There is also a baby pool and a locker room complex and spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Old Trail Golf

An 18-hole, par 72 regulation course, Old Trail was designed to conform to the natural features of the land. Described as a "core course", the residential neighborhood is being developed outside the boundaries of the course. In addition, over 70 acres of land are dedicated to the restoration of indigenous grasses. Stewardship of both the land and the game of golf are the guiding principles of Old Trail. Fashioned after the first Scottish clubs, this magnificent course offers public access as well as a limited number of member privileges.
The 9500 square foot clubhouse was completed in 2006. The clubhouse features a Pro Shop, bar and grille, locker rooms, members' grille, and banquet areas.

Outdoor Recreation

The Old Trails of Piedmont Virginia served as the inspiration for our community's name. Winding throughout the community, the combination of paved sidewalks and natural trails encourage fitness and interaction between fellow residents and neighbors.
In addition to 6 miles of trails, Old Trail offers fishing in its beautiful ponds and numerous green spaces. Located in Ballard Field, the 2-acre Common serves as a place for neighbors to meet casually and also as the host to events like the semi-annual neighborhood campout. Western Park is a 35-acre park with soccer fields and trails, situated along Lickinghole Creek.
